CWGA is exploring the possibility of hosting a Battle of the Sexes Scramble Tournament in collaboration with the Men’s Club and the Niners. This fun and inclusive event is proposed for a Thursday in August and would bring our three golf clubs together while raising additional funds for the 2026 Merit Awards (formerly the Scholarship Fund).
The event would include:
- A morning shotgun scramble tournament
- Single-sex foursomes, alternating between women’s and men’s groups
- A BBQ lunch following play
The club with the best overall results will earn a trophy and bragging rights, while all proceeds from tournament entry fees and lunch will be donated directly to the 2026 Merit Awards. If there is sufficient interest, both 18-hole and 9-hole scramble options would be offered.
Before moving forward with detailed planning, we would like to gauge member interest.
