Dear Niner Golfers,

This is an urgent reminder regarding our pace of play. We must make immediate changes to ensure all rounds are completed efficiently. Over the last  month or so, the Niners’ pace of play has significantly increased to the point that some rounds are taking just under 3 hours.  We have through the month of September to improve our pace of play or this could impact our league play. The Charbonneau Golf Club Board is aware of our situation.  Moving forward, please adhere to the following guidelines:

  • Time Limit: You have a maximum of 2 hours to complete your 9-hole round.
  • Scorecards: All scorecards must indicate your start and finish times. If your round takes longer than 2 hours, please note the reason on the card. One way to monitor your time is if you or at or near 1 hour when finishing the 4th hole you likely will need to pick up the pace to complete the round in 2 hours or less.
  • Ready Golf: Please play ready golf. Do not wait for everyone to finish putting; those who are done should move to the next hole and tee off.
  • If teeing off on a par three, hit your drive if you safely can without waiting for the group in front to clear the hole.
  • Lost Balls: If your ball goes into the water or out of bounds, do not spend time searching for it. Follow the rules.

This applies to both Tuesday and Thursday play. Copies of these guidelines will be available at check-in on Tuesday Playdays.

Thank you for your immediate cooperation.
